An MSc graduate in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University, Andrew worked for a similar-sized company to Ruddlesden geotechnical in South East England, where his work included geotechnical investigations for basements in London. Andrew then went to work for a geotechnical consultancy in New Zealand, before joining Ruddlesden geotechnical, where he is involved in all aspects of geotechnical investigations and contamination assessments from desk studies to walkover surveys, trial pitting, logging and supervision of boreholes, conceptual models, foundation appraisals, risk assessments and interpretative reports. Andrew has particular expertise in the geotechnics of foundations, basements and retaining walls.
