Foundation works risk assessments are required to ensure that foundation construction works do not create a new contamination migration pathway where elevated levels of contamination have been recorded.

Piled foundation works risk assessments are undertaken in accordance with Environment Agency guidance to ensure that no new contamination migration pathways are created potentially linking near surface contaminated soils to underlying groundwater.
