Single Large Residential Dwelling, Hertfordshire - Ruddlesden Geotechnical

The geological maps studied as part of the Phase 1 Assessment indicated that weak ground conditions were likley to be present. Therefore, a Phase 2 intrusive site investigation comprising cable percussive boreholes in addition to trial pits was carried out.

Geotechnical recommendations included piled foundations due to the presence of soft, wet and unstable near surface deposits. 

The environmental assessment confirmed that no significantly elevated levels of contamination were present and the site was suitable for its residential land use.
