New Stand, Rugby Ground

Slope stability analyses and slope stabilisation measures were required to create space for the construction of new stand at a premiership rugby ground.

Slope stability assessment showed that soil reinforcement/ retaining strctures were required to steepen the slope to the rear of the stand. Soil nails, designed and supervised by Ruddlesden geotechnical, combined with land drainage were considered to be the most suitable and cost-effective method of steepening the slope at this site.
