Pad foundations were found to generally be suitable to support the proposed buildings for most of the site. However, at the location of one building, piled foundations would be required due to depths of made ground (>5m). Alternatively, it was suggested that the building could be relocated within the site so that only car parking was underlain by deep made ground.

Further recommendations were made regarding soakaway feasibility, road pavement design and ground gas protective measures.

The combined Phase 1 Assessment and Phase 2 Investigation included trial pits, soakaway testing, CBR testing and laboratory testing.
