A decommissioned lighthouse, together with an associated 6.6 hectares of cliff and coastline, was to be sold. As part of a pre-purchase review of the property, a geotechnical assessment of the cliff beneath and around the property including, in particular, the access track was required.
The assessment comprised a detailed desk study and walkover survey that was able to provide a qualitative assessment of the areas of concern, together with remedial and maintenance recommendations and illustrative costs.
Importantly, the report was issued within a week of our site visit, which was promptly attended, and was within an acceptable budget to the client, whilst at the same time providing comprehensive recommendations and cost appraisals.
